Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the tightnumbers.com website, our Google Sheets templates, and our TightNumbers add‑ons for Google Sheets (together, the "Services"), provided by TightNumbers ("we", "us"). By using the Services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. What we provide
TightNumbers provides price book and estimating tools for trade contractors, built on Google Sheets:
- Free templates and free tier. Templates and core add‑on features are available at no charge.
- Pro subscription. A paid subscription that activates additional add‑on features. Current pricing and included features are shown at the point of purchase.
We may add, change, or remove features over time. We will not remove features you have paid for during a paid period without a refund for the unused portion.
2. Billing through Gumroad
All purchases and subscriptions are processed by Gumroad, our billing provider. Your purchase is also subject to Gumroad's terms of service. Gumroad handles payment, applicable taxes, renewals, and cancellation.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time through Gumroad. Cancellation stops future charges, and Pro access continues through the end of the period you have paid for.

3. Your license to use the Services
We grant you a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to use the templates and add‑ons for your own business. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or offer the templates or add‑ons as your own product, and you may not share Pro license keys outside your business.
Spreadsheets, estimates, quotes, and other documents you create with the Services are yours.
4. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for your Google account and for complying with Google's own terms when using Google Sheets.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, including prices, labor rates, markups, and tax rates.
- You are responsible for making sure the estimates, quotes, and other documents you produce comply with the laws that apply to your trade and location, including licensing and disclosure requirements.
5. No guarantee of accuracy or availability
The Services are calculation and organization tools, not professional advice. Always verify your own pricing, costs, and totals before sending a bid, quote, or invoice. You are solely responsible for the numbers you put in front of a customer.
We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error‑free, or available at any given time. The Services depend on third‑party platforms we do not control, including Google Workspace and Gumroad, and their outages or changes may affect the Services.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost business opportunities, arising from your use of the Services. This includes losses arising from errors in pricing, estimates, or bids produced with the Services.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim arose, or fifty US dollars if you have paid nothing.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Services at any time by uninstalling the add‑ons and cancelling any subscription through Gumroad. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these terms, and we will refund any unused portion of a paid period unless the violation was serious.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and post the new terms on this page. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or the Services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
